Our mandate
What we buy
We look for essential, unglamorous businesses that produce predictable cash flow. The common thread is not the industry, it is the economics. If your business looks like what follows, we would like to talk.
- Geography
- Texas first, with room for the right business beyond it.
- Size
- Roughly $250,000 to $1.5 million in annual cash flow (SDE or EBITDA), the range SBA acquisition financing supports.
- Ownership
- Founder-owned and family-owned businesses. We are not a fit for companies owned by institutions, private equity, or another fund.
- Structure
- Control acquisitions only. You can stay on in a role or step away, but the business gets one clear owner.
- Not a fit
- Franchises, software, technology, startups, and turnarounds, anything that needs the next big thing to work.
Industries we focus on
- Home and residential services
- Commercial and facility services
- Light manufacturing and fabrication
- Distribution and wholesale
- Specialty contracting and industrial services
- Testing, inspection, and compliance
What we look for
- An established operating history and consistent profits
- Margins that hold up year to year, not a one-time spike
- Revenue you can see coming, a backlog, a pipeline, or contracted work
- A diversified customer base, not one or two accounts carrying the business
- Revenue that belongs to the business, not the owner's personal relationships, so it survives a handoff
A few examples
To make it concrete, businesses like these are squarely what we are looking for.
A residential plumbing, HVAC, or electrical company with recurring service agreements
A commercial cleaning or facilities-maintenance firm with contracted accounts
A landscaping or grounds-maintenance business with seasonal contracts
A metal fabrication or machine shop with a steady project backlog
A wholesale distributor with a broad, diversified customer base
A testing or inspection firm with recurring compliance work
You do not need to be sale-ready
Your books do not need to be pretty. They need to be accurate. Hand us your real numbers, however raw, and building the full picture is our job, not yours.
A straight answer, either way
If we are not the right buyer for your business, we will tell you so, plainly and quickly. We would rather give you a straight answer than waste your time.
Think you might fit? Let us talk.
No names required to start, and nothing you share leaves the room.
